The picturesque town of Prachatice, which is sometimes called the “Renaissance Pearl of South Bohemia“, is a 45-minute drive away from České Budějovice. The town situated in the foothills of the Šumava boasts unique preserved burgher houses dating back to the 16th century and beautiful countryside. Among attractive trip destinations is the majestic Libín mountain with a watchtower and a tourist chalet and romantic ruins of castles called Hus and Helfenburg. Sports enthusiasts can visit the Libín Rope Park, one of the largest in Europe.
